So today on the Belo Europe Tour we were in the center of Paris, France. It was a super fun and a jam packed day that started at 8 AM. We started off with a three hour walking tour around the center of Paris from a hilarious Scottish tour guide with craaaazy hair, which made my day much better!
After the tour, we went to Champs Élysées and had 2 hours free time. Some of us went shopping, others had lunch and walked around or went to the top of the Arc de Triomphe. Me (Sarah) and Ellie were going to get the tickets to go up, but we couldn’t get the tickets alone because we were both under 18. We were really sad at first, but we really wanted to go to the top, we ended up joining some people and asked them if we could pretend we were with them just to get the ticket (which is for free for people under 18). And guess what, it worked :D And the people were a super nice young couple that were traveling around Europe just like us. Unfortunately, I don’t have a selfie with them.
After our wonderful free time, we went to Le Louvre. Oui oui, we saw the Mona Lisa! Personally, it was a little bit disappointing because the painting was small. We also walked around the museum, and got lost trying to find a toillet, we all had a good time there.
Then we finally went to the symbol of Paris, the wonderful Eiffel Tower. The view from the very top is wonderfully majestic. We were staring down for a loooong time, taking selfies and making some videos dancing. It was crazy :D
After that we went and quickly took some pictures in front of the eiffel tower (of course) and ran to the bus because we were late for dinner. Dinner was at a cute little French restaurant up a small side street. We had either soup or salmon for starters, and then salmon or chicken for the main course. It was fun having real french food from a real french restaurant but the bathrooms were a little weird. When I (Athena) went to the bathroom there was no toilet seat! Just a regular toilet bole! It was a bit weird but I guess thats France for you haha!
After that we all ran down the street like maniacs to catch the bus and then drove back to the hotel while jamming out to music (of course). When we got back we were all suppppper tired after such a long day so we got ready to leave the next morning and then went to bed which was really nice.
